Our Greenhouse
The greenhouse at Castledon is a valuable resource available to all students, providing a conducive environment for year-round teaching and learning, regardless of the weather. Younger students utilise the space to extend their understanding of various topics, particularly in science. For older students, the greenhouse offers the opportunity to complete recognised qualifications in land management and horticulture, facilitating the practical elements of their coursework. This dedicated indoor growing environment allows students to grow a wide variety of plants, helping them explore the effects of different environments on propagation and compare yields from different harvests. The students take great pride in maintaining the greenhouse, keeping it organised and tidy, and it has become an integral part of their education, offering practical experience and scientific exploration
Library Bus and Garden
|
In 2020 we set out to create a new library as our current one was far to small. After purchasing and old London bus, we sent it off for a makeover. In the summer of 2023 enough funds were raised to finish the project with an amazing all weather garden and and outside seating. |
